As a professional chamber musician, he first played in the Czech Nonet as a concertmaster and later joined the Stamic Quartet in 1995 for seven years. During this time he was actively involved in contemporary music and often performed music by one of the leading contemporary Czech composer Aloise Háby. Háby's music often encorporates microtones which requires a technique that is rare and difficult. Vítězslav is one of the few violinists that is fluid in this technique and is considered one of the leading figures in contemporary violin playing. The concerts performed with Háby's music was very well received and was given an award from UNESCO.
Aside from recordings of Háby's music which was played on radio stations through out Europe in 1999, he has also recorded classic pieces such as the the Dvorak and Brahms Sonatas. He has made over twenty recordings which range from solo pieces to chamber music.
He continues to perform actively throughout the world.
